Questions about an official King County docket belong with the court that keeps it. Superior Court records are held by the Clerk's Office and Department of Judicial Administration, while District Court and each municipal court maintain separate files. The contacts below route record, copy, and court-date requests to the right public office.

This Is Not a Court or Government Office. This private reference resource cannot retrieve an official file, alter a hearing, seal a case, provide legal advice, or certify a copy. Only the responsible King County court or clerk can handle those requests.

Need an Official Docket or Record?

Use the court named on the case papers whenever possible. King County record duties are split as follows:

  • A Superior Court docket: use KC Script or contact the Superior Court Clerk/DJA
  • A court date or setting: check the court calendar, or confirm the setting with the clerk of court
  • District Court records: use the KCDC portal, a public terminal, or its records-request form
  • Municipal cases: contact Seattle, Kent, Renton, or Federal Way; Bellevue service is through KCDC
  • Court records and case files: see court records, or contact the clerk of the court that heard the case

The primary Superior Court contact is the King County Superior Court Clerk's Office / Department of Judicial Administration, 516 Third Ave., Seattle, WA 98104, 206-296-9300. Public service is generally available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. KCDC case-access help is available at 206-205-9200, option 8.
