Searching the Bellevue Court Docket
Bellevue municipal cases live in the KCDC e-Filing & Case Access Portal. Set up a free account. Confirm your email, then sign in to search. Paying a ticket is different. The Citations or Tickets route handles that on its own, no portal account needed. Before you start, read the court name and case number printed on your notice. A Bellevue police report alone does not tell you that. It leaves out which court holds the case.
- Open Case Search and choose Case Number when the exact number is known.
- Enter the number with no spaces before or after it.
- For a name, select Criminal/Infraction or Civil and enter the filing window, first name, and last name.
- Open the blue case-number link and inspect Summary and Events.
- When no match appears, adjust the filing window, check the AOC index, or call KCDC at 206-205-9200.
KCDC warns that some cases never show up in the online docket. So if your Bellevue search comes back empty, that is not the final word. Call the Bellevue KCDC clerk and confirm before concluding no case exists.
Bellevue Uses KCDC Services
Bellevue runs under a municipal-court name, but King County District Court keeps the docket itself. The Bellevue Public Records Center confirms this. It routes municipal court record requests straight to KCDC. That routing saves people from a common mistake. Sending a case-file request to a general city records office gets you nowhere. That office does not hold the judicial file. The official Bellevue referral page from the city spells out where court records requests belong.
One fact anchors every Bellevue request. KCDC, not a separate city clerk, maintains the municipal court record route. Send city administrative material to a Bellevue city request instead. The case summary, hearing history, and judgment information live at KCDC. So do the document index and court copies. Where you file matters more than where the underlying event took place.
Bellevue Municipal Court Basics
King County District Court handles municipal court services for Bellevue and Beaux Arts at 1309 114th Ave. S.E., Suite 100, Bellevue, WA 98004. Call 206-205-9200, fax 425-777-9157, or email bellevue.kcdc@kingcounty.gov. No separate Bellevue-only clerk or portal exists to try. Bellevue municipal dockets cover the limited matters assigned to that service. Those are mainly misdemeanor and infraction work. The KCDC system also holds county limited-jurisdiction records, so read the Bellevue case caption and court location carefully. Not every KCDC result is the same type of case.

Bellevue Name Search Fields
Start a Bellevue name search by picking the right KCDC case type. Criminal/Infraction and Civil queries live in separate places. Both rely on a filing-date window, and KCDC caps that window at 365 days per search. A person search needs a first and last name. Date of birth stays optional. For a civil matter, a company name works too.
| Field | Use | Bellevue note |
|---|---|---|
| Case Type | Required choice | Criminal/Infraction or Civil |
| Filing Date | Required window | Search up to 365 days at once |
| First and Last Name | Required for person | Use the spelling on court papers |
| Date of Birth | Optional | Helps separate like names |
| Company Name | Civil option | Use for an entity party |
When an older Bellevue case sits outside your first range, run the search again with an earlier window. Got the case number in hand? Exact Case Number search is the faster route and skips the guesswork of matching names.
Court Dates and Settings in Bellevue
Open any Bellevue result and go straight to Summary. The caption, filing details, case status, and any future hearings all appear there. Events carries the fuller timeline, past and future alike. Bellevue-specific labels turn up in the KCDC guide, including Bellevue Courtroom 1, Arraignment (Video), and Pre-Trial Conference. One entry tells you why the hearing exists. It also shows how the person is set to appear.
| Date | The scheduled day shown in the Bellevue event. |
|---|---|
| Time | The start time for the calendar or hearing. |
| Courtroom | A location such as Bellevue Courtroom 1. |
| Judge | The official assigned to the event when displayed. |
| Setting Type | A label such as Arraignment (Video) or Pre-Trial Conference. |
| Result | Held or another recorded outcome for a past event. |
An event marked as held is history, not your next date in Bellevue. Scan the future events too, then confirm any late change with KCDC.
Bellevue Summary and Events Tabs
Summary and Events answer different questions, though they overlap. Summary gives the fast Bellevue case picture and a future-hearing panel. Events carries the longer chronology. It lists past and future settings, result, assigned official, and location. A Minute Record entry may sit alongside the event. Documents and Register of Actions deal with filings, not just dates.
- Summary
- The caption, filing facts, status, and next-hearing view.
- Events
- The historical and future hearing list for the Bellevue case.
- Held
- A result showing that an event took place.
- Minute Record
- A court entry connected to what occurred at a setting.
- Register of Actions
- The chronological filing and action index.
One tab will not serve every purpose. Use Summary to get oriented, Events for settings, and the document index when the exact filed item matters.
Traffic Tickets in Bellevue
You can look up a Bellevue citation through the KCDC Citations or Tickets route. No case-search account is needed. Start with the ticket number. For hearing history or a fuller case summary, sign in to Case Search. The AOC index works too. Payment access and docket access are separate services.
The citation itself prints your response choices and the due date. A KCDC infraction may end in payment, mitigation, a contested hearing, or another court-approved response. The court record then tracks that path, the settings, and the disposition. Countywide response details sit on the King County traffic tickets page.
If a Bellevue ticket will not come up, check whether KCDC is the named court. A ticket issued nearby can belong to a different court. It depends on the citing agency and case caption.
Bellevue Document Access Limits
The KCDC portal packs a lot into one screen. You can see upcoming court dates and hearing locations. Judgments, sentence conditions, warrant status, protection-order status, and a document index are there too. Seeing an entry listed is not the same as being able to open it. Online document images are role-limited. An active WSBA attorney or a government user may qualify through the proper role. A party can rely on a case-access token instead.
| Need | Bellevue channel | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Case summary | KCDC portal | Some cases may not appear |
| Document index | Documents or Register of Actions | An index may not include an open image |
| Party image access | Case-access token | Limited to the party's case |
| Public inspection | KCDC terminal | Subject to record restrictions |
| Certified copy | KCDC clerk | Must come from the custodian |
Need the filed document itself? Skip the portal and go where access is open. Use a public terminal, or send the KCDC records form when portal access is not available.
Where Bellevue Cases Go
Bellevue municipal work runs through King County District Court, but bigger cases leave that level entirely. Felonies, large civil matters, family cases, probate, and other general-jurisdiction cases belong to King County Superior Court. The King County Superior Court Clerk's Office, also called DJA, keeps those records through KC Script.

For a cross-court view, try the statewide AOC Case Records Search. Its results can lag or come back incomplete, so trace any hit back to the Bellevue court of record. The King County court docket overview lays out the full county routing sequence.
Bellevue Civil Cases Route East
Here is a local wrinkle that trips people up. The Bellevue facility serves Bellevue and Beaux Arts municipal matters. Yet the KCDC civil filing area for Bellevue is Redmond. So a civil case tied to Bellevue may show a Redmond filing, hearing, or records route. That is normal. It signals no error and no transfer out of King County.
Before you drive anywhere or call a clerk, read the KCDC location and event fields. The case caption names the parties. The Events location tells you where that particular setting will actually happen. A city in the facts does not always match the Bellevue court site assigned to the docket.
Bellevue routing point: municipal service is at KCDC Bellevue, while the KCDC civil filing area for Bellevue is Redmond.
Because of this split, search by the exact case number and read the location row. Never assume every Bellevue matter uses one building.
Bellevue Court Record Access Rules
Washington GR 31 presumes court records are open to the public. Law, rule, court order, or case law can still restrict them. What you reach on the public web is often narrower than what a clerk or terminal can show. Juvenile information, sealed files, family and health material, and other protected records may be redacted, restricted, or missing from a Bellevue search. Some limits apply online only.
Key Rules:
Washington GR 31 governs access to court records and limits juvenile information on public websites.
Washington GR 15 sets procedures for sealing, redaction, and destruction.
Washington GR 31.1 covers judicial administrative records rather than ordinary case files.
Two doors, two purposes. General Bellevue administrative records go through the Public Records Center, while court case records belong to KCDC. For an official copy, only the Bellevue KCDC clerk that keeps the original can issue the certification.
Bellevue Missing Case Checks
A Bellevue search that comes up empty is usually fixable. Start with the Bellevue court level itself. Then check spelling, the exact case number, case type, and the filing window. A name search filed more than one year before your chosen range needs another 365-day window. A civil entity may only appear under Company Name. That field differs from the personal name fields.
Next, use the Washington Courts Case Records Search as an index. Its data may lag by about a day and may not be complete. Follow any result back to KCDC or the named court. For a Bellevue KCDC matter, call 206-205-9200. You can also email bellevue.kcdc@kingcounty.gov, visit the Bellevue KCDC clerk, or use a public terminal.
These fallback channels also work for records that exist but are not exposed online. The clerk can explain the proper request route. Staff cannot give legal advice, though. An index result is never a certified record.
